Op-Ed: Voters wanted big change from Measure J. Why hasn’t L.A. seen it yet? by Megan Castillo and Bamby Salcedo

Our CEO Baby Salcedo and Megan Castillo, coordinator for Re-Imagine LA, have written an op-ed in the L.A. Times urging the L.A. County Board of Supervisors to finally pass a #CareFirstBudget.

A few words from the coordinator of Re-Imagine LA, Megan Castillo below:

Yes, our coalition wrote a piece for the L.A. Times that got published this morning.

And here’s why we did it.

We need to make sure the L.A. County Board of Supervisors finally passes a budget that reflects our priorities. We need a budget that invests more than $900 million in critically needed community services. That’s what more than 2 million people voted for—and that’s what the Board of Supervisors should enact.

Let’s make sure our demands for budget transparency and a #CareFirstBudget reaches the County CEO and Board of Supervisors. Read and share our op-ed.

Together, we are fighting to make sure the voices of our communities are finally heard—and reflected in L.A. County’s priorities.
