REPRESENTATIVE GOMEZ AWARDS $750,000 TO THE TRANSLATIN@ COALITION FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
Los Angeles, CA – Congressman Jimmy Gomez (CA-34) is pleased to announce the allocation of $750,000 in community project funding through the House of Representatives to support the vital workforce development efforts of The TransLatin@ Coalition.
The TransLatin@ Coalition is a leading organization that advocates for the rights and empowerment of the transgender, gender non-conforming, and Intersex (TGI) community. The funds granted by Representative Gomez will be instrumental in fostering workforce development within our community.

The TransLatin@ Coalition will utilize the funding to implement various programs and services to enhance employment opportunities for transgender, gender non-conforming, and Intersex individuals. Some initiatives that the funding may support include:
Workshops and Training Programs: Providing educational workshops and specialized training programs to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the job market.
Staff Expansion: Hiring additional staff members to bolster the capacity of The Translatin@ Coalition, enabling them to provide comprehensive support and guidance to individuals seeking employment.
Case Management Services: Offering personalized case management services to ensure individuals receive tailored assistance and ongoing support throughout their employment journey.
Representative Gomez recognizes the importance of investing in the workforce development of marginalized communities and, through this funding, aims to empower transgender, gender non-conforming, and Intersex people by facilitating access to sustainable employment opportunities.
