The TransLatin@ Coalition fiercely condemns President Trump’s latest executive orders—ruthless attacks on gender-affirming care, the freezing of federal funding, and other policies designed to harm our community. These actions are not just political maneuvers; they are direct threats to the lives of transgender, gender expansive, and intersex (TGI) individuals, particularly trans youth. Disguised as measures to “protect children,” these policies do the exact opposite—stripping away lifesaving care, dismantling vital services, and fueling violence and discrimination against our people.
Let it be clear: We will not be erased. We have always existed, and we refuse to be silenced or intimidated. The oppression and marginalization we face will not break us—it will only strengthen our resolve. We call on every ally, every supporter, and every person of conscience to stand with us. Take action. Raise your voice. Uplift and protect the lives of TGI people so that we may build a future rooted in justice, dignity, and equality.
“These attempts will not erase our people. We have always existed, and we will not be intimidated by all the oppression and marginalization that our community continues to experience. We are calling on all our allies and supporters to stand in solidarity with our organization and TGI people as a whole and do everything you can to continue to uplift the livelihood of all TGI people so we can see a brighter future.”
