The TransLatin@ Coalition VP & COO Maria Roman-Taylorson appointed to the Human Relations Commission for the City of Los Angeles
The TransLatin@ Coalition proudly congratulates our Chief Operations Officer / Vice President Maria Roman-Taylorson for taking the role of Commissioner for the Human Relations Commission for the City of Los Angeles, appointed by Mayor Karen Bass.
The Oath was celebrated in honor of International Women's Day. This appointment is a testament to Maria's hard work and dedication to positively impacting her community.

As Commissioner, she will be able to utilize her skills and expertise to address issues related to human rights and social justice in Los Angeles. We are incredibly proud of Maria and know she will continue to inspire us all with her commitment to public service. We cannot wait to see all the beautiful things she will achieve in this new role.
La Coalición TransLatin@ felicita con orgullo a nuestra Jefa de Operaciones/Vicepresidenta Maria Roman-Taylorson por asumir el cargo de comisionada de la Comisión de Relaciones Humanas de la ciudad de Los Ángeles, designada por la alcaldesa Karen Bass.
El Juramento se celebró en honor al Día Internacional de la Mujer. Este nombramiento es un testimonio del arduo trabajo y la dedicación de María para impactar positivamente a su comunidad. “Estoy muy emocionada de tener esta oportunidad de servir en un organismo tan importante, y de representar a mi gente en este puesto; Prometo dar lo mejor de mí, y sacar lo mejor de mí para hacer de Los Ángeles una ciudad acogedora para todos, incluyendo las personas trans”, afirmó en la ceremonia.
Como comisionada, tendrá la oportunidad de utilizar sus habilidades y experiencia para abordar cuestiones relacionadas con los derechos humanos, y la justicia social en Los Ángeles. Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de María y sabemos que seguirá inspirándonos a todos con su compromiso con el servicio público. No podemos esperar a ver todas las cosas maravillosas que logrará en este nuevo rol.
