This year's GARRAS (Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems) fashion show was a night to remember. As The TransLatin@ Coalition celebrated its 15th anniversary, or quinceañera, we were filled with gratitude for the incredible journey and the continuous support of our community.
The event was a dazzling showcase of fashion, art, and activism. The runway was ablaze with stunning designs, and the energy in the room was electric and we were honored to have the incredible presence of TS Madison, Zaya Wade, Gia Gunn, Niohuru X, Veondre Mitchell, Delta Work, Matt Cullen and many others that graced the event with their presence.
But GARRAS is more than just a fashion show. It's a platform to raise awareness and funds for the vital services we provide to the TGI community. This year, we were thrilled to announce that we raised approximately $300,000! These funds will directly impact the lives of countless individuals, enabling us to continue our mission of empowering and uplifting the TGI community.
We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event possible:
Our incredible models and designers who brought their creativity and passion to the runway.
Our generous donors whose support makes our work possible.
Our amazing sponsors who believed in our mission.
The TGI community for your unwavering love and support.
As we look ahead to the next 15 years, we are committed to continuing our mission of creating a more just and equitable world for all.
