In a letter sent today, these groups are calling for stronger legal protections, increased funding to address discrimination in public schools, and the creation of a fund to help individuals from hostile states relocate to California.

Los Angeles County has made a significant stride towards equity and inclusion with the launch of the Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex Wellness and Equity (TGIWE) Initiative. This groundbreaking $7 million investment represents a historic commitment to supporting nine organizations, providing them with the resources and guidance necessary to become future county contractors.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) is uniquely prepared to support California healthcare providers as it ensures its staff completes evidence-based cultural competency training to provide trans-inclusive healthcare by the March 1, 2025 deadline. 

The SAFETY Act empowers schools to become safe havens for all students and teachers by implementing comprehensive training for school staff on LGBTQ+ issues, securing access to gender-affirming facilities, and reinforcing anti-bullying policies.
