The TransLatin@ Coalition is excited to announce its capacity to meet California SB 923’s mandated TGI Evidence-Based Cultural Competency for healthcare providers!

California Senate Bill 923 presents healthcare service plan providers and their staff the opportunity to focus on addressing the disparities in healthcare provision for its transgender, gender expansive, and intersex (TGI) patients.

The TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC) is uniquely prepared to support California healthcare providers as it ensures its staff completes evidence-based cultural competency training to provide trans-inclusive healthcare by the March 1, 2025 deadline.

Benefits of TLC's Training:

  • Meet SB 923 compliance: Our curriculum is carefully designed to meet every requirement of the legislation.

  • Improve patient outcomes: Provide culturally competent care that leads to better health outcomes for TGI patients.

  • Increase patient satisfaction: Create a welcoming and affirming environment for TGI patients, leading to greater satisfaction with their care.

  • Reduce risk: Minimize the risk of discrimination lawsuits and ensure compliance with legal mandates.

  • Enhance your reputation: Become known as a provider committed to equitable and inclusive healthcare for all.

TLC is the largest transgender-led organization in the country and the only organization dedicated to the TGI community that provides both direct service provision and public policy advocacy. Since our inception, TLC’s bifocal operations have enabled us to collaborate with The UCLA Williams Institute on an ongoing basis to conduct research that examines the specific barriers, needs, and experiences of local TGI communities. We are the only organization providing training, consultation, and capacity-building services with this specialized intersectional focus with over 15 years of experience. We offer dynamic and flexible training modalities led by a team of qualified trainers with over five years of experience in research and education of the TGI community.

We are excited about the opportunities presented by this bill and are ready to serve as a premier partner in helping healthcare organizations achieve their training goals.
