The TransLatin@ Coalition proudly congratulates our Chief Operations Officer / Vice President Maria Roman-Taylorson for taking the role of Commissioner for the Human Relations Commission for the City of Los Angeles, appointed by Mayor Karen Bass.
The Oath was celebrated in honor of International Women's Day. This appointment is a testament to Maria's hard work and dedication to positively impacting her community.

Este nombramiento es un testimonio del arduo trabajo y la dedicación de María para impactar positivamente a su comunidad. “Estoy muy emocionada de tener esta oportunidad de servir en un organismo tan importante, y de representar a mi gente en este puesto; Prometo dar lo mejor de mí, y sacar lo mejor de mí para hacer de Los Ángeles una ciudad acogedora para todos, incluyendo las personas trans”, afirmó en la ceremonia.
Como comisionada, tendrá la oportunidad de utilizar sus habilidades y experiencia para abordar cuestiones relacionadas con los derechos humanos, y la justicia social en Los Ángeles.
